Review: TwelveSouth BassJump 2
Since the release of the Compass stand for the iPad, TwelveSouth is becoming one of my favorite companies to purchase accessories from for my Apple gadgets. Their products are very well designed, and perfectly match the elegance in design to Apple products. I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a review unit of the BassJump 2 Subwoofer. Did the subwoofer make a significant difference in the sound to be worth the price?

MediaDevil Adds New Product Line with Typeguards for Macbook and Macbook Pro
MediaDevil , makers of the popular screen protectors we recently reviewed, announced the launch of two thin Typeguard keyboard protectors for the Apple Macbook and Macbook Pro. The Typeguards are waterproof covers and are available in clear as well as anti-bacterial versions. The anti-bacterial cover is made with silver nanoparticles which is scientifically proven to stop over 600 types of bacteria. They protect from dust, spills and anything else you can think of. Both types of units are 50 percent thinner than regular silicon protectors. The keyboard guards are non-toxic and are made of high-grade, low friction Thermoplastic Urethane (TPU). The covers are transparent as well, allowing back-lit keys to shine through.
“Computer keyboards can carry more harmful bacteria than a toilet seat, including those that cause E.coli and staph infections,” explains MediaDevil founder Callum Bush. “MediaDevil already offers protective tools for tablets and smartphones, so it was a natural next step to provide laptop users with a similarly effective shield. The result is a thinner guard that complements the sleek design and gives users an anti-bacterial choice for the ultimate protection.”
The clear cover will sell for $19.97 and the anti-bacterial cover for $24.97. In a few weeks both will be available in the United States at Amazon.com.
Look for them soon on the MediaDevil web site as well.

Griffin TechSafe Cable Locking System for Laptops
Griffin Technology has announced the availability of their new TechSafe Cable locking system for laptops. What’s different about the TechSafe when compared to other locking systems is a unique ball design. You adjust the clamp tightly to a table, shelf, desktop, or other flat surface. Then slide the ball upward and thread your security cable through the middle of the ball before locking it to your laptop. The ball prevents the clamp from loosening until you’re ready to release it. The TechSafe Locking Clamp is designed for use Griffin’s own TechSafe Cable Lock System for laptops (available separately), but it can work with other cable lock systems and other devices, as well. The TechSafe system is available for $19.99.

JailbreakMe 3.0 (iPad 2 Jailbreak) Could be released today!
If you head on over to Jailbreakme.com you will find that the traditional Apple “We’ll be back soon” sticky note has been posted on the site.
With that being said it is pretty safe to say that we will see the release of the jailbreak by the end of the night. If it isn’t released by the end of tonight I believe we will see it in the wee hours of the morning.
A quick reminder on what jailbreakme actually does is it allows you to jailbreak your iPhone,iPod,or iPad straight from the browser of your device. It’s safe to say that this is the easiest jailbreak out there. There is no need to mess with .ipsw files or putting your phone into DFU mode. You simply “slide to jailbreak” and your device in jailbroken in under 5 min.
For as long as I have been following jailbreaks and jailbreaking devices I alway been an advocate fan for the Jailbreakme PDF exploit. The ease of use is what I love about it. How about you guys? Or do you enjoy feeling more techy and advanced by having to run all these different programs and learn every iTunes error code there is in the book?
When news comes in that the Jailbreak is out and officially released we will be sure make a post!
