MediaDevil Adds New Product Line with Typeguards for Macbook and Macbook Pro
MediaDevil , makers of the popular screen protectors we recently reviewed, announced the launch of two thin Typeguard keyboard protectors for the Apple Macbook and Macbook Pro. The Typeguards are waterproof covers and are available in clear as well as anti-bacterial versions. The anti-bacterial cover is made with silver nanoparticles which is scientifically proven to stop over 600 types of bacteria. They protect from dust, spills and anything else you can think of. Both types of units are 50 percent thinner than regular silicon protectors. The keyboard guards are non-toxic and are made of high-grade, low friction Thermoplastic Urethane (TPU). The covers are transparent as well, allowing back-lit keys to shine through.
“Computer keyboards can carry more harmful bacteria than a toilet seat, including those that cause E.coli and staph infections,” explains MediaDevil founder Callum Bush. “MediaDevil already offers protective tools for tablets and smartphones, so it was a natural next step to provide laptop users with a similarly effective shield. The result is a thinner guard that complements the sleek design and gives users an anti-bacterial choice for the ultimate protection.”
The clear cover will sell for $19.97 and the anti-bacterial cover for $24.97. In a few weeks both will be available in the United States at Amazon.com.
Look for them soon on the MediaDevil web site as well.

Is Apple working on a 15″ “ultra-portable” MacBook?
Macrumors is reporting that Apple is in late testing stages of a new “ultra-portable” MacBook, which could see a launch as early as this holiday season. The new machine would boast solid-state storage and lack a optical drive. While you’re already thinking that this is going to be a bigger MacBook Air, TUAW is reporting that the new machine will, in fact, be a member of the Pro family, not the Air as many would believe. In fact, current speculation points out that this may be the redesign for the Pro family.
If Apple were to introduce this ultra-portable MacBook, does the Air have any breathing room? The new machine would reportedly boast the same features as the Air, so could Apple be planning to kill the Air line? I personally find it a little farfetched, but let us know what you think in the comments below!
