AppTag Laser Tag – Real World Shooter Gaming! For iOS And Android
Over the span of the past three to four months, I have been overly obsessed with KickStarter and I just can’t seem to get myself away from there. There have been some fantastic projects floating around on the site, and have become very successful after their funding was completed. I recently came across a project by the name of AppTag Laser Tag for iPhone, iPod and Android, and I will honestly say I filled with excitement when I saw it. According to the project description, AppTag Laser Tag brings first person shooter from consoles to the real world. This is done so with the help of the smartphones and custom developed applications. Developers are able to use augmented reality to help make the game more interesting for players. So imagine random objects appearing on your living room floor that you must shoot (enemies) or pickup (ammo), but when you look at your floor there is nothing there. It’s a really interesting concept, and I’m really looking forward to seeing it in action. It sounds like a great play when you have a group together. The application will allow you to play in single mode, multiplayer mode, and team mode, as well as keep score over WiFi.

On Skyrim
When I’m not drooling over technology, I’m usually playing video games. I’ve been a gamer for as long as I can remember. In fact, my mother always tells this story about how the only way to get me to stop crying as an infant was to sit me on her lap and play the original Mario Bros. on the NES. She said I’d shut right up and watch her play for hours. My mom has since left the video game world, but I’ve stayed put. I play a wide genre of games, but as of late, I’ve been getting tired of the increasingly stereotypical shooter genre (particularly with the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3). I’ve always preferred the Halo series, anyway. Moving away from a genre that’s main focus is multiplayer wasn’t a big deal to me for one reason: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was released.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is Met with Great Review Scores
I’m a huge gamer. If I’m not busy drooling over technology, you can usually find me playing video games. I’ve been a big fan of RPG/Adventure games since The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, my favorite game ever made. Naturally, I took a liking to the Elder Scrolls series back when The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind was released for the original Xbox. Followed by another installment entitled Oblivion in 2006, The Elder Scrolls returns once more tomorrow at 12:01 a.m at your local game store.
In Skyrim, you are a Dragonborn: called upon to protect the people of Skyrim from the dragon onslaught, who were once thought to be slain for good. Throughout over 100 hours of gameplay (with project lead Todd Howard saying easily up to 300 hours to exhaust every aspect of the game), you’ll be lead to the highs and lows of the mythical land that is Tamriel as you figure out the secret of the return of the dragons.
The game has been met with great score. IGN game the game a 9.5, while Gametrailers gave it a 9.3. Many are calling this the best game of the series, and for good reason. The numerous reviews I’ve read have stated that exact phrase. It seems that Bethesda Game Studios is constantly tweaking and perfecting the elegant system that is the Elder Scrolls games.
Will you be picking up Skyrim tonight? As for me, it’s safe to say that I’ll become a “no-life” of sorts for quite some time.
Review: Logitech G700 Mouse
Before two months ago, I had never seriously gamed on a computer. However, I’ve been a console junkie my entire life and remain devoted to those great ergonomic controllers and selection of games. Recently, a friend of mine introduced me to a game that’s all the rage right now, League of Legends. Since the game is proprietary to the PC, I had to make a huge leap and abandon my console. One of my biggest fears when I made this jump was the lack of an ergonomic control system that I was used to. However, Logitech quickly came to the rescue with their G700 Gaming Mouse. Hit the jump for my thoughts.

Do We Still Need Handheld Gaming Systems?
It used to be in the past that if you wanted to get a gaming fix on the go you needed to buy a handheld gaming system such as a Nintendo DS or Playstation Portable. Now though, smartphones and tablets seem to be replacing them for most consumers, which begs the question, is it worth to buy a portable gaming device or should you stick to an all-in-one device?
