The iHome iDM11Rechargeable Portable Bluetooth Speaker is a mono wireless speaker that works with Bluetooth enabled portable electronic devices such as the iPod touch and the iPad. I was impressed with the over all quality of this device. The small speaker has surprisingly strong bass and clear sounding higher tones. The speaker provides awesome, clear sound perfect for listening to any type of music, for use with games, or listening to podcasts.

Review: JABRA Journey Bluetooth In-Car Speakerphone

With more and more states in the U.S. introducing hands free laws having an in-car speakerphone system just makes sense. Not to mention that fact that it’s simply flat out stupid to use your phone while driving regardless as to whether or not your state declares it legal to do so or not. As a firefighter I can tell you from personal experience just how dangerous texting or dialing from your mobile phone while driving can be. I previously reviewing JABRA’s Freeway in-car speakerphone and walked away super impressed. So much so that it not only replaced my car’s built in Bluetooth system but still remains in my vehicle doing so today. When JABRA offered up a review sample of their newest in-car speakerphone, the Journey, I jumped at the chance to review it. The Journey, which at first glance appears to be a little cousin to the Freeway, not only handles telephone calls handsfree but also supports wireless playback of your music thanks to A2DP. The Journey does’t stop there though.
How did the Journey stand up to my personal testing? Read on to find out.
Jabra Announces Latest In-Car Speakerphone: JOURNEY
We’ve reviewed several of Jabra’s in-car hands free systems in the past and have always come away impressed. I was so taken by the Freeway that it actually replaced the built in Bluetooth hands free system which came installed in my car – and is still doing so today. Now the company is out with it’s latest hands free system, the JOURNEY. The new device uses HD Voice and enhanced noise cancellation technology, which eliminates unwanted noises from the road. It’s now even easier to answer calls too by using your voice and Voice Guidance, which announces incoming calls.
The JOURNEY also features advanced multi use which allows you to connect two devices to it and it’ll stream your music wirelessly thanks to built in A2DP.
The Jabra JOURNEY is currently available exclusively for $69.99 at Costco and at www.Costco.com. We have a review unit on the way and will return with our thoughts soon.

CES Digital Experience 2012: Parrot Zik Wireless Bluetooth Headphones
I’ve yet to find of wireless Bluetooth headphones that “wow” me. That search may have come to an end last night at CES’s Digital Experience Pepcom event. The Parrot Zik headphones pack a ton of features. For starters there’s a sensor than knows when you’ve placed the headphones on your ears and automatically begins playing your music. There are three built in microphones for voice calls and jawbone detection for a mash up of perfect in-call audio. Most impressive though is the Zik’s buttonless operation. Functions are done via gestures on a trackpad like interface on the right ear cup.
Check out my video demo of the Zik’s above.
