I’m one of those people that has a really tough time falling asleep without something to listen to.  I know it seems strange but I seem to fall asleep much quicker if I’ve got something playing on my radio.  Generally I’ll set my iPod touch to play podcast or tune my radio to sports talk, setting the timer for 30-60 minutes.  While this works well for me it doesn’t please my wife who usually is kept awake by the audio while I’m fast asleep.  The PillowSonic Under the Pillow Speakers could be a marriage saver for me. This soft, padded, pillow has two speakers hidden inside.  Once you plug in your device via the 3.5mm cable you can discretely listen to your own audio without bothering anyone else.  Click on through to check out my video review of the PillowSonic Under the Pillow Speakers.  Then head to this page on the ScotteVest web site to learn more about it.

Review : Beats Pros by Dr. Dre

Beats headphones have been around for quite a few years now, introducing a line of headphones a few years ago that look stylish and were founded by rapper Dr. Dre. With a high price point are they worth the buy? There are many different styles of headphones in the Beats line and the Pro’s are the most expensive ones ringing up at a very high price of $399. Does that translate into a better pair of headphones than Sony’s or Sennheiser’s you can pick up for a third of the price? Let’s start from the beginning.

The iHome iDM11Rechargeable Portable Bluetooth Speaker is a mono wireless speaker that works with Bluetooth enabled portable electronic devices such as the iPod touch and the iPad.  I was impressed with the over all quality of this device.  The small speaker has surprisingly strong bass and clear sounding higher tones.  The speaker provides awesome, clear sound perfect for listening to any type of music,  for use with games, or listening to podcasts.

A detailed look at this fun device will be given after the break.

Buying me a gift isn’t exactly easy.  If you’re like me you probably hear this from your loved ones often too as well.  So when my wife surprised me this past Christmas with an iHome iW1Airplay speaker I was super excited.  The company’s flagship Airplay speaker was something I’d wanted but never treated myself to.  Since setting it up I’ve used it a ton both in and around my home.  I love being able to simply tap a few times on my iPhone to have my tunes instantly streaming throughout my house.

When iHome announced further additions to the iW line up at CES 2012 I was pretty psyched too.  After you come to rely so heavily on a product hearing that other models are going to be added to the line can only mean more exciting products to check out.

iHome was recently kind enough to send along the newest addition to the iW line, the iW2.  The iW2 is best described as the little brother to the iW1.  In addition to streaming music from a variety of sources the iW2 can also act as a stand alone charger for your iOS device too.
