Read on through for my full review and be sure to catch the video at the end of the review for a more up close and personal look at the Divoom Bluetune-Bean Bluetooth Wireless Speaker.

Inside the packaging you’ll find the speaker along with an attachable clip, the USB charger and an instruction manual.  The Divroom web site says the Bluetune-Bean is also meant to come with an optional auxiliary cable however, no such cable was included with my sample.

Here’s what Divoom has to say about the Bluetune-Bean Bluetooth Wireless Speaker.

I think if Jack had heard what the Beans were capable of right away he wouldn’t of hesitated in trading in that old cow for it. That same magic went into designing and making the extraordinary Bluetune-Bean. The Bean is meant to go everywhere you go without the need for you to have ample pocket or bag space. Use the sturdy clip and stick it on your belt loop purse, stroller, anything you can think of. Enjoy your music in utter convenience with Bluetooth wireless streaming. We’ve also included a Mic so you can answer your phone calls with the Bean.

It gets said a lot but in this case affordable has truly never sounded so good. Priced so that anyone can easily enjoy this fantastic little device.

All speakers have built in iON lithium rechargable batteries so you never need to buy batteries. Listen for hours and recharge in no time! Connect to your favorite music devices such as: Stereos, Mp3 Players, Ipods, iPad, Phones, Game Systems, TV’s, Computers, Laptops, Electric Guitars, and more! (Will connect manually or via bluetooth.

  • Pocket sized speaker
  • Built in Microphone
  • Big wireless sound
  • Clip on design
  • Built-in rechargeable battery
  • Sporty look

The Divoom Bluetune-Bean is available in six different colors.  You can choose from Black, Blue, Yellow (this is the color featured in this review), Red, Gray or White.

The exterior portion of the Bluetune-Bean is coated with soft silicone.  This durable material helps absorb shock and impact.  Size wise it’s a little larger than an XL egg.

The bottom of the Bluetune-Bean is flat so that when and if you place it down on a table or other flat surface it’ll stay put and not slide or move around.

There are only two buttons on the Bluetune-Bean.  The power button, which is also used to pair the speaker with your Bluetooth device of choice and an answer/end button for phone calls.

The micro USB charging port gets covered by a port protector which keeps dust and debris from getting inside.

To use the Bluetune-Bean you’ll first need to charge it up.  You can use the Micro USB cable which comes with the speaker and plug into an available USB port on your computer.  You can also team up the cable with a USB wall adapter like the one that comes with your iPhone, or just use a regular Micro USB wall charger like I did.  Once fully charged you’ll be able to realize up to 6 hours of audio playback via the Bluetune-Bean.

The metal clip, which comes with the Bluetune-Bean, allows you to easily clip it to a backpack, purse, belt clip or other item for transport.

The Bluetune-Bean offers decent sound for such a small speaker.  There isn’t a ton of bass but you shouldn’t be expecting much for a wireless speaker that comes in at under $30.  For phone calls the Bluetune-Bean has a built in microphone and callers reported that I sounded loud and clear in testing.  All playback and control must be done through your device though.

The Bluetune-Bean is a small, portable and affordable Bluetooth wireless speaker that comes in a nice choice of callers.  For phone calls and music the Bluetune-Bean clips easily onto your gear bag, purse or belt clip giving you powerful sound that’s out of sight.
