I’ve known of Proporta as a case company for a very long time.  I used many of their cases on some of my original mobile devices going far back as when I owned a Palm Pilot.  I hadn’t however, seen much of the company since I made the move to Apple.  That is until they reached out to me to see if I’d be interested in reviewing some of their products.  I have come to recognize the company as one who offers quality cases at affordable prices.  The first case we’ll take a look at is for the iPad Mini.

The exterior of the case features a pebbled faux leather.  You’ll notice the cutout on the back of the case which not only allows the iPad Mini’s Apple logo to show through by also allows the case to swivel a full 360 degrees around.

Inside the case you’ll find a soft microfiber material behind the front flap and a snap on the back style shell where the iPad Mini goes.

To install your iPad Mini into the case simply start with the side with the volume buttons and then click the opposite side in.  This case does work with the iPad Mini’s automatic sleep/awake function.  When you close the front flap the iPad goes to sleep and when you open the front flap it wakes up.

Once installed the case yields full access to all of the Mini’s ports and controls.  In true folio case fashion the top, bottom and sides of the case are left uncovered making accessing the buttons and ports a breeze.  A elastic strap keeps the front flap secured shut when you’re not using the Mini and a round cutout allows you to use the camera without removing the case.

Thanks to a special rotating design this case not only lets you prop up your iPad Mini in a single landscape angle.

But also allows you to do so in portrait as well.

To achieve any sort of typing angle you must flip the case all the way around and lay it flat.
