Review: Spigen iPhone 5 Case Ultra Flip Series

A popular accessory for both the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and S3 is the “flip-cover.”  This case, made by Samsung covers the front glass of the device with flap.  iPhone 5 users no longer have to look at flip cover users with jealous as Spigen has now released a new case which closely mirrors the flip cover design.  The new Ultra Flip Series case for the iPhone is available in four different colors.  It’s slim and stylish yet seems protective as well.

If you’ve been yearning after a Samsung style flip cover case but are using an iPhone 5, look no further.

Inside the packaging you’ll find just the case.  There is no screen protector included with the case.  Spigen does make some of the best screen shields available for the iPhone 5 however.  You can check them out here.

The Ultra Flip Series case is available in four different colors.  You can choose from Orange, Navy, Silver or White.

The case has a very sturdy feel.  The outside of the case features a two-tone fabric and plastic look.

The inside of the front flap of the case is lined with a soft micro fiber which will serve to protect your phone’s screen when it comes in contact with the flap.  The case portion is just a snap on the back style case but it is finished in soft touch material, which will protect the back of your phone.

To install the case onto your phone simply snap it in to the snap on the back style holder located on the right side of the case.

Once installed the case yields full access to all of the phone’s ports and controls.

There’s a small slit on the inside of the front flap where you can choose to store an ID, credit card or business card.

A speaker hole cut out allows you to use the phone with the front flap closed so that the flap doesn’t get in the way while you’re talking.  This also prevents the front flap from blocking the secondary microphone.

I really like the look of the back of the case.
