By now you’re surely aware of what the eastern part of the United States is facing. Hurricane Sandy, which is making it’s way up the east coast, is set to collide with a cold front to create what’s being called the “storm of the century.” I’ve done what I can at home to be prepared. Moved as much stuff from outside, inside, stocked the pantry with food, gassed up the cars etc. However, if we should lose power I want to be prepared.
While I don’t have a generator (my neighbor does and has offered to let me borrow it should I need to run our sump pump) I feel like I have a mini generator with the number of external batteries for my mobile devices I’m currently powering up. Between the NewTrent IMP120D and IMP52D, the Just Mobile Gum Max, the NewTrent iZen Power Folio and the Eton American Red Cross Rover I’m hoping I have enough juice to recharge at least my iPhone a few times should we find ourselves without power for an extended period of time.
Here’s hoping the storm ends up being less than what’s being predicted. If you’re in its path please be safe!
