Here in the UK we seem to be the most effected when it comes to Apple’s recent maps fiasco, so I thought I would give it a chance on a recent trip to see what the fuss was all about.
On starting the app and getting my location I was treated to the above satellite image, which as you can see is covered by clouds.
I have also tried this around where I live and although most of the roads look ok there are more issues with satellite images. I thought that given all of the negative publicity Apple would have focussed a lot of their energy on fixing this issue in the UK given it’s where most of the problems are coming from.
All of this is resulting in me to continue using TomTom for navigating me around and the Google maps for everything else.
If anyone else in the UK has similar issues please let us know and don’t forget to report any issues in app if you encounter any.
