Outdoor Technology, cutting-edge creators of stylish accessories like the retro inspired DJ Slims wireless headphones, have begun full production of the new Turtle Shell after reaching their funding goal on Kickstarter. The popular fully-equipped Bluetooth speaker fuses edgy style and Hi-Fi sound made for great sound on the go.
The Turtle Shell offers a uniquely rugged design shaped like a turtle shell with an array of color offerings to express your style. Easy-to-use integrated controls enable quick access to control tracks, volume and calls directly at the touch of a button. The Turtle is made to fit your active lifestyle with accessories sold separately and its IP5X dust and waterproof standard.
The crisp deep bass and hi-fi sound from the Turtle Shell allows for the ideal companion for music, movies games and even calls. It is also party-friendly with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that will last up to 10 hours. It is also equipped with a built-in microphone making it ideal for speakerphone functionality.
Outdoor Tech outfitted The Turtle Shell with The Turtle Claw all-purpose clamp allowing you to easily mount to a bike handle or baby stroller. The Turtle Shell has a number of patents pending including the first ever camera threading on a speaker allowing it to attach to any standard camera accessory such as a flexible tripod. The Turtle Claw is sold separately for a suggested retail price of $19.95.

Turtle Shell will retail for $149.95 after the Kickstarter term is finalized on October 8th. As an incentive, should the company reach 150K in funding for Turtle Shell, they will include The Adapt ($40 MSRP) as a gift to all backers $99 and up. The Adapt, available now, converts anything with a 3.5mm audio jack to Bluetooth.
