Ten One Design, creator of the first capacitive touch screen stylus, has announced its Pogo Connect is now available for pre-order.
Just in time to celebrate the company’s five year anniversary, this world’s first pressure-sensitive Bluetooth 4.0 stylus for new iPad showcases just what Ten One Design is all about: innovation, design and passion for cutting-edge technology.
Adding to Pogo Connect’s ingenuity and advanced engineering, the company announces a new magnetic tip system, which allows the included tip to be easily removed, while also keeping the tip securely in place. Spoiler alert: this special magnetic system also leaves open the possibility for Ten One Design to debut new interchangeable tips in the near future.
The first-of-its-kind Pogo Connect sports a wild new patent pending technology, Crescendo Sensor, making the tip highly responsive to pressure and recognizing even the slightest touch. With zero grams of activation force, Crescendo Sensor works at all angles and requires absolutely no calibration, providing hundreds of levels of pressure. Plus, the solid state design means no moving parts, making the stylus incredibly reliable.
Pogo Connect is supported by 16 compatible apps so far, most of which are live and ready today. Apps include: Brushes, Zen Brush, PDFpen for iPad, Procreate, FlipBook HD, Sketch Club, SketchBook Pro, Art Studio, Good Notes, Colors, Paper by FiftyThree, Noteshelf, NotePad Pro, NoteBinder, IbisPaint and ArtRage.
Pogo Connect also comes with a built-in radio transmitter so users can easily find a lost pen by determining their location in relation to stylus – a modern day game of hot and cold! The stylus transmits a signal that easily allows users to track down its location, making this the first pen that’s nearly impossible to lose. Simply use an iPhone or iPad to display the estimated distance to the pen, which is displayed intuitively in a radar-style view.
The smart pen is powered by one AAA battery, and with the help of the energy-efficient Bluetooth 4.0 technology, will last for months of continuous drawing.
Pogo Connect is available for pre-order now for $79.95. The first 2,000 buyers will receive a special edition version with a laser-engraved tiger graphic reminiscent of the product’s previous name, Blue Tiger.
