If you’ve been having WiFi issues with your Verizon iPhone 5 Apple has just released a software update just for you. The bug, which seems to only effect Verizon versions of the iPhone 5, prevented phones from using WiFi even when a valid connection was obtained. Instead the phone would use the 3G or LTE connection without the user even knowing. This could be especially troublesome for users with limited data plans.
To get yourself the update head to the Settings application on your phone, then General, then About.
You’ll see a prompt, like the one above with instructions on how to install the update.
