If you were like me, staying up or waking up at 2AM CST to order the new iPhone 5 was just not an option.  Anyone who ordered more than an hour after pre-sales went live got initial shipping dates of October 5th.  Yesterday, to my surprise, I received an email from Apple stating my order had shipped.  It looks like all around the web late orders are shipping early and being estimated at September 27th.  The iPhone 5 sold out of launch day preorders within an hour, but I noticed the servers were much more capable of handling the preorder load.  Looks like this time, Apple just didn’t have the stock on hand to keep up.  Fear not, I am happy to report my iPhone 5 is in China prepping to make stateside this weekend for an early delivery!  Next I have to worry about ScuffGate!
