Did you read about the less than satisfactory experience I’ve been having with Best Buy this week regarding the delivery of my new TV? If you missed it here’s the backstory.
Guess what? Yesterday it arrived! At around 4PM I made a phone call to the store General Manager, again, after I’d received a form letter style email from Best Buy informing me that my delivery had be rescheduled for 9/26. He said that wasn’t correct and that in fact he had a special Geek Squad employee on the way to his store, where he was to pick up another team member, then drive to the other store, pick up all my items and then drive to me home to set it all up.
Piece a cake right? Yeah right.
The manager told me to expect them around 6PM. They called a few times to inform me of their whereabouts and ended up arriving at 7:30 PM.
I’ll say this. Once they got my home they were wonderful. The Geek Squad member and the store employee who came to my home were courteous and professional. They set up the TV and sound bar, answered all my questions and were thankful for my patience. I love my new TV and it looks perfect.
Oh, did I mention they forgot to deliver the “free” 32″ TV that came included with my purchase? The one that was set aside with all the other items I’d paid for way back on 9/8?
Yeah, they did. The saga isn’t over yet.
