The iPhone 5 preorder process sold out on Friday in what we think is record time. That doesn’t mean however, that you still can’t get an iPhone 5 come this Friday, launch day. Apple retail stores will be opening at a special time, 8AM, and will be selling the phone as well. If you plan to grab an iPhone 5 at an Apple retail store you’d better get there early. The 5th Ave. Store in NYC already has a line! If you don’t want to have to deal with the hassle of camping out you could always pay someone to do it for you.

You can pay one of their representatives to wait in line on Friday for you in either San Francisco or NYC. The cost? $55 for up to 4 hours. That seems very reasonable to me. Your TaskRabbit will hold your place in line, then swap out with you right before purchase.
