Well now that didn’t take long. The iPhone 5 launched officially for pre-order this morning at 12:01AM PST. When the Apple store came online the phone, as expected, showed a delivery date of 9/21. Now, just a little over an hour later, delivery times for the new iPhone 5 have slipped to 2 weeks as indicated by the image above. I’m not sure about anything official but as far as I know that’s the quickest ever I remember iPhones being delayed of any launch, period. Glad I set that alarm for 3AM EST and didn’t decide just to try to order in the morning when I woke.
