Early this week a curious thing happened. Apple began selling a “Product Red” version of their bumper case for the iPhone 4 and 4s. This new bumper began shipping this week and has begun to make it’s way into customers’ hands. A portion of the sale of all Product Red branded products goes towards helping find a cure for AIDS. What’s curious about this release isn’t the fact that Apple released a Product Red item, they’ve done so with both their Smart Cover and Smart Case for the iPad 2 and New iPad. What is odd is the fact that they’d release a new case for the iPhone 4/4s when many are suspecting that a new iPhone is so close to being released.
