App Update: Pinterest

Today, Pinterest received a very notable update including universal support for both iPad and iPhone/iPod Touch. Pinterest is essentially an inspirational photo app. Whether it be for DIY projects, or “pinning” some technology items wanted, Pinterest has you covered. Originally, Pinterest started as an invite-only app, but with this update everyone can join.

The new iPad app is OK, but not great. It is reminiscent of Facebook’s iPad app, with a drawer coming in from the left to display the categories and other features. I found the iPhone app on the iPad to be a little glitchy, so I am definitely satisfied that Pinterest released an iPad app. Despite the improvements, some issues are still present. Occasionally, when scrolling, the app accidentally will click on a picture that you didn’t intend to click on. While this can be annoying, dismissing the photo is just another tap away.

I’d definitely check out Pinterest if you are looking to do a home renovation for inspiration or just checking out pictures of animals. No need to download a new app! Just head on over to the updates section on your iPad/iPhone’s App Store and get the new Pinterest today!
