The case has a rough smooth texture which feels great in the hands. It doesn’t feel like it will slip from your hands because of the texture and it also feels good in the when holding it for long periods. You do not have that bulk feeling like you would with the other Ballistic case’s.
As you can see with the case on the iPhone 4/4S everything fits nice and securely. It has a nice lay on the table design so you can lay it face down. Also a nice feature I like with case is even though it’s a tight fit it does not bubble my screen protectors.
The bottom of the case has 3 separate cut-outs for the docking port, microphone and speaker. Unfortunately because of the way the case is shaped around the corners you will not be able to dock with this case on.
On the left side of the case you have a large cut-out for the ringer switch which will accommodate the iPhone 4 and 4S models. Then you have your volume switches which are nice and easy to use and very responsive.
The top of the case has a large cut-out for the headphone port and a small cut-out along that for the secondary microphone. The sleep/awake button is covered but raised to hit, though I found it a bit stiff and difficult to push to turn my phone on and off or wake it up when using it.
The Ballistics Life Style Smooth case is slim, and creates very little bulk when on your phone and is one of those case’s you might want to add to your case collection. It is protective and is said to protect your phone from a drop of 6 feet, though I don’t intend to do drop tests with case’s I will take there word on it.
