Have you ever asked yourself where you put your car keys? If you have not, than you are a rare breed. Thankfully for everyone else who has misplaced their keys there is a new product that can help you find them. Two entrepreneurs named Geoffrey Litwack and Louis Gerbarg from Los Angeles who are also iOS app creators are exited about producing ‘Hone,’ for the iPhone 4S and new iPad thanks to a successful campaign via Kickstarter. The Hone is a Bluetooth device and and iOS app that will make sure you will not lose your keys or at least not lose them for an extended period of time.
“We’re thrilled that the Kickstarter community supported our idea,” says Hone co-creator, Geoffrey Litwack. “The simplicity of the Hone technology as a way to solve an issue that happens to all of us from time to time will be useful for every type of consumer.”
Here is how the magic happens: First you need to attach the to your key ring and download the Hone app. The app will immediately connects to the Bluetooth dongle so you know exactly where your keys are.
When your keys go missing, tap the app’s “Find” button. The keychain device then lights up and will audibly vibrate so that you can find your keys. If that does not work all you have to do is walk around and let the Hone lead you to the keys with its built-in proximity sensor. The range is more than 150 feet.
If you are always losing other things do not fear, the Hone can be used for more than just finding keys. The device can be attached to almost anything.
