One of the highlights I look forward to each year at CES is the demo by the guys from ioSafe. The first year I attended their demonstration they lit a hard drive on fire, dowsed it with water and then ran over it with a gigantic earth mover. Last year they took us all to a shooting range off the strip where each attendee got the chance to blast one of their drives with a shotgun.
How do they top demos like that? How about by shooting 1 million volts (not a typo) through one of the new Rugged Portable Drives with Thunderbolt by using a Tesla Coil to do it?
Yep, that’s exactly what they did.
