Amazon Announces Text Book Kindle Rental Program

You’re a struggling college student.  The last thing you want to deal with is shelling out hundreds of dollars on books you’ll probably never use again – let alone face the task of having to lug them all around campus.  Got an Amazon Kindle?  Then here’s some good news.  Amazon has announced a new text book rental program for their popular Kindle e-reader.  Many books are 80% off the cost of their printed version.  You choose the time you need the book for and pay for only that amount – starting at a minimum of 30 days.  You can extend your rental for as little as one day or convert to purchase if you so choose.  Once you’ve rented a text book it’ll be available for you to read anywhere, from your PC, Mac, Kindle, or your mobile device.  And you can even access your notes after your rental has expired.
